What you need to know

Pick Up Location

• The default pick up location is 7 Ocean View Road, Oneroa, Auckland 1081, in the Matiatia Ferry Terminal Carpark towards the grass next to the ocean where staff will meet you with a green VEV logo sign. Email info@vev.nz if you need to change the location.

Driver requirements

• All drivers must be over the age of 25 years and must hold a full and valid driver’s license, a copy of which must be presented to the Company on request. 

Extended Booking

• Please indicate any requests for a different pick up and/or drop off time on the booking form at checkout, we will confirm availability and charges. Any agreed to extension of the booking time is $50/hr at a maximum of 2hrs additional

Payment

• full payment is required at time of booking

• a credit card is required and a hold will be put on the card as you pick up the car - any additional charges for extended booking will then be charged

Cancellation

• The cancellation fee is 50% of the day rental, if cancelled up to 7 days out. If you cancel within 7 days before or on the day itself you will be charged the full rental fee

Late fees

• Returning the car after the time agreed may attract an extra surcharge of $40 per 15 minutes, so please let us know as soon as possible if you need more time with the car!

Charging

• Avoid the battery being run flat. If you have the car for one day you are not expected to fully recharge the car but (especially overnight) we advise charging the car at every opportunity.

• If you run out of charge let us know straight away! Letting the car run flat will attract extra charges.
